The Prestigious Golden Idol

The Marathon Golden Idols is an A.V. awards ceremony. We choose 5-6 movies from the same genre, director etc. to view and compare. The various category winners are awarded a Golden Idol statuette, officially called the Chachapoyan Fertility Idol, which has become desired by Adventurers worldwide. 

All Marathons are hosted by Brad Hawkins, with various Marathoners. Together we represent the A.V. community of cinephiles. This exercise has helped us understand filmmaking and changed the way we watch movies. We use the marathon to examine and discuss films we've needed to see or haven't seen in a while.
