Versus is A.V.'s Fight Club of sorts, where we pit two movies against each other and see who comes out the victor. Consider this page the Thunderdome of movie watching, where two movies enter, one movie leaves.
Versus is hosted by Brad Hawkins--with up to three other Videolanders--and together we try to represent our community of cinephiles. This exercise has helped us understand filmmaking and changed the way we watch movies, and we hope it does the same for you. We use the Versus episodes to examine and discuss films we've needed to see or haven't seen in a while. We recognize a genre's or director's achievements by forming a list of categories. The various category winners are awarded a Golden Idol, which have become commonly desired by Adventurers worldwide.
