Anime Marathon

The live-action Ghost in the Shell opens on March 31, 2017 and has inspired a very colorful marathon. Animated films don't get talked about as much as you'd expect on Adventures in Videoland, so we are changing that in 2017. We decided to marathon classics and critical works of art to get a real good feel for the genre. We watched Grave of the Fireflies, Spirited Away, Vampire Hunter D, Ninja Scroll, Akira, and Ghost in the Shell. Let's talk about movies! 

Side Note: We left off most of Hayao Miyazaki's films because we're doing a marathon in honor of the director on Labor Day.
