Jonathan Majors will return in Avengers: Doomsday
This past Wednesday, Marvel dropped a bombshell by revealing the cast of Avengers: Doomsday in the most cryptic way possible, by showing us a lineup of director’s chairs. But the real shocker? It looks like Jonathan Majors will be returning as Kang, only now he’ll be played by none other than Robert Downey Jr. in blackface.
The internet has been set on fire with reactions. After Majors’ legal troubles led many to assume Marvel would move on from Kang altogether, it seems they’ve chosen a… bold new direction. Right now, details are scarce, but rumors are swirling that RDJ’s Kang will be a variant, somehow tying back to his legacy as Tony Stark. Is this high-level satire? A meta-joke on casting controversies? Or just Marvel doubling down on the multiverse madness? No one knows, but this move is already shaping up to be one of the most talked-about casting decisions in MCU history.
What do you think? Is this Marvel genius or Hollywood insanity? Are you excited for Avengers: Doomsday, or has the multiverse officially gone too far? Let us know in the comments below.
