It’s the real deal. The announcement came with his name on the back of one of the numerous director’s chairs, and while many expected another Marvel character, it turns out that the galaxy’s most infamous Emperor is coming to play.
The question on everyone’s mind: How exactly will Palpatine fit into the MCU? Will he be another formidable villain, sharing the screen with Doctor Doom, or will he seize power and take out Doom, positioning himself as the ultimate bad guy for Avengers: Secret Wars? In the world of Marvel’s Multiverse Saga, anything can happen. What we do know is that Palpatine is back, and it’s safe to say he’s not here to make friends.
Rumor has it that Marvel isn’t sparing any expense to bring Palpatine into the fold, and this could be a way for them to shake things up in the Multiverse like never before. The idea of a Star Wars character stepping into the Marvel Universe is wild, and it opens up endless possibilities. Will we see Palpatine use his dark, manipulative Force powers to control heroes and villains alike? Will he form alliances?
